Jo Caldwell Meyer AWC/Austin Scholarship Fund
 AWC Austin awards the Jo Caldwell Meyer AWC/Austin Scholarship to a deserving undergraduate every year. A treasured community leader and member of AWC, Jo Caldwell Meyer was the National Executive Secretary of Theta Sigma Phi, the professional society for women in communication, for 24 years. Jo began her work at the University of Texas School of Journalism as an Administrative Assistant and served as Executive Assistant of the School of Communication until she retired in 1965. Jo passed away Thursday, December 27, 2001, at the age of 91. She was truly an inspiration to women in the field of communications, and it is highly appropriate that this scholarship bear her name. The chapter dedicated a scholarship in her name in the spring of 2002.
Donate to the Scholarship Fund
AWC/Austin funds its scholarship programs through a variety of fundraising projects each year, and by private donations. One or more scholarships are given annually at AWC's Banner Brunch.
To donate to the scholarship fund, make checks payable to The Association for Women in Communications Austin Chapter and be sure to indicate "Jo Caldwell Meyer Scholarship Fund" in the memo section of the check, or in an attached note, so that it goes into the correct account. Mail donations to:
