 | Resume Critique & Mentoring |
In addition to the Job Bank, AWC Career Services offers two other valuable services to chapter members:
Resume Critiquing
This program gives you the opportunity to have your resume confidentially reviewed by three senior communicators. If you would like to have your resume reviewed, contact Christina Shepherd.
Find a Mentor
This program offers you the chance to talk with someone about a specific aspect of the communications field. You will be connected to an AWC member who can answer your questions and provide some guidance and support as you continue (or change) your career path. To learn more, contact Rachel Jordan.
Become a Mentor
Do you want to know more about the abilities and skills of young professionals? Do you want to increase your knowledge of other industries, learn more about the newest tools and trends in communications and grow your network? Be an AWC mentor!
As an AWC mentor, you'll meet young professionals who are not only eager to hear about your experience, but who also are seeking to share what they have learned about communications tools and trends from recent college experience and internships. Building upon successful programs like resume critiquing and the Student Shadow Day, this year AWC's Career Services and Membership Committees have organized the structured Mentor Program. The program includes different levels based on mentee expectations and time commitments that have your busy schedule in mind. You will be matched with a mentee based on similar professional interests as well as the commitment level with which you feel comfortable.
