Monthly Luncheon Meetings
Monthly meetings of AWC Austin are held on the third Wednesday of each month. The luncheons provide opportunities to hear and meet leaders from various business fields and to network with other communications professionals.
Our luncheon topics cover a range of communications strategies and tactics including blogging, crisis communications, PR for nonprofits, email marketing, search engine optimization, launching your own business and more. The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m., with networking, and the presentation takes place from 12 -1 p.m.
Depending on the size of the audience, our tradition is to give each attendee the opportunity to introduce themselves, and announce whether they are looking for work or know of an open position.
Luncheons take place at the University of Texas Club at Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium. Cost is $30 for members, $16 for students, and $35 for non-members. The RSVP deadline is the Monday prior to the meeting, at noon. All reservations made at the door or after the deadline are charged and extra $5. Cancellations require 48 hours notice. No-shows will be billed a $20 fee. Parking is included in the luncheon cost. Please bring in your garage-issued ticket for validation.
