If you're a fan of Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy's "mockumentaries"--you need these in your DVD library. My favorite is Best in Show...but I own a Shih Tzu. These films are the perfect rainy day pick me up!

Here's my recommendation. It's a leather PDA case. I need one! It's leather and it's only $16.99. Plus it comes with room for business cards and a notepad.

Fiskars 94246974 Harvest Gear Garden Bucket Caddy
This looks so handy for keeping all of those little hand tools, seed packets and water bottle together. It's great to have a bucket when gardening to deposit weeds, clippings or your harvest. Plus, it's only $12.00! That's the perfect holiday gift price. It looks like it should cost more because it's such a good idea.

In the Palm of Your HandI would love to have an objective helping hand with my poetry once in awhile. There were rave reviews for this one.
Organic Gardening
My favorite gardening magazine- it's filled with practical, ages-old gardening wisdom for small-scale gardeners. Great for anyone interested in back-to-basics, healthy, safe, organic gardening.
Deluxe Cooler & Warmer Mini Fridge - Brushed Metal Finish
This is the kind of thing that looks cool but few people would buy this for themselves.

O: The Oprah Magazine (subscription)
I just love this magazine because it deals with real-life issues (and fun ones, too).

The Leadership Challenge, by Posner and KouzesLeadership isn't just for CEOs and entrepreneurs, it's for everyone!
Posner and Kouzes' latest book describes five leadership practices to cultivate leaders throughout organizations (though there are plenty of applications for outside the workplace). The five leadership practices, by the way, are 1) Model the Way 2) Inspire a Shared Vision 3) Challenge the Process 4) Enable Others to Act and 5) Encourage the Heart. Through engaging stories and vignettes, the authors weave their concept of leadership which is simple but powerful. You probably guessed that I'm reading this book as part of an evening class I'm taking, but there's such good lessons within that I couldn't help but share!

Becoming a Chief Home Officer, Zondervan Publishing
Practical help and inspiration for moms making the "career shift" to motherhood from the working world, equipping them to be creative and passionate in pursuing the resources, support and humor they need for loving their career of motherhood as much as they love their kids.
** A friend recommended this book to me yesterday, saying that it is a great read for high-energy, driven women who need to be reminded that the work they do with their kids is as important, if not more, than the work at the office.

We have this Mill & Brew coffeemaker and it rocks. You can set it the night before with your favorite beans, and it goes off in the morning. It grinds the beans, then brews the coffee. Awesome! No more mess with scraping coffee out of the grinder and into the coffeemaker. Anyone who loves coffee will love this -- and Amazon has it for a heckuva lot cheaper than what we paid for it at Target. Cheers!

Here's a movie that I just LOVE! The second book would also be a great pick.

I just ordered "Under the Tuscan Sun" and "In Tuscany" by Frances Mayes, after seeing the wonderful movie!!! The books are beautiful and picture perfect in describing the amazing places my husband and I visited on our honeymoon. I recommend both of these books, which are treats for both the eye and the mind's eye.
